Garbage

All the garbage that people throw in the water might land on reefs and bleaches(kills)the polyps.Sewage from towns,cities and poisonus waste matierals from factories may end up sorrounding coral reefs.The more dirtier and polluted the water is,the more harder it is for polyps to live and grow.When people cut trees near reefs to make houses and put crops dirt is washed into the ocean,the coral gets coverd by a thick lair of mud wich blocks out the light and evantuly the coral dies.

Tourists

Tourists are also one of the problems that reefs are disapearing.Some ways tourists harm coral reefs are by standing on it or touching it.Tourists sometimes take off a piece and take it as a souvenir.Tourist also scrape coral with there oxegen tank.Most garbage from the tourists land on coral.

Global warming is a big threat to coral reefs.Global warming is made by all the electricity that we humans use.Global warming does not only affect the reefs but the icecaps to.Global warming is caused by pollution.

The fertalizer

Fertilizers also kill the reefs thogh it might be good for the earth,but we also have to think about the water! When there's wind the fertalizers may sweep into the river.Then the river might make it go into the ocean and it might land on coral!Over fishing may kill a reef.Fishermen also throw dynamites into the water to cach more fish.Most times the dynamites explotion may hit a reef.
